Interesting piece from West Germany, I'll call it diver style, nice weight and a quality 25-jewel automatic movement, this is not one of the cheapie pin-lever specials so prevalent in the 1960s.

Black dial with luminous markings (still glows briefly when charged) and date at 3 o'clock plus very cool luminous hands. Please note that the original paint finish is not super smooth, but the dial is nice and crisp.

Chrome top with stainless steel steel screw back case, including dust cover/anti-magnetic shield, bi-directional rotating bezel, showing very minimal use. Marked "WATERPROOF - ANTIMAGNETIC - STAINLESS STEEL BACK".

Nice clean 25-jewel Förster caliber 197 automatic wind movement, with semi-quick-set date, service history unknown but seems to be running OK, service recommended.

    36.25-mm across the bezel x 44.5-mm

Click the photos for full size resolution.

$195.00, US shipping included, international shipping OK, cost by location. Payment to be discussed.

Sorry, all sales final unless grossly misrepresented.

    What a cool caseback.

These style divers are mostly seen with 17 jewels at $100s more in not as good condition.

This won’t last long, if anyone thinks for a minute it will be gone.
