If You only choose a single wrist watch, which would that be ... and why ?

.
Which ?
For me that would be the Heuer Autavia GMT 2446c Pepsi bezel pilot wrist chronograph
Why ?

I also love the Heuer Autavia 11630v, slightly larger and a more polarising case shape but there's something about the retro feel of it that feels really balanced

Hi Phill. I really like that heuer aviation.

Another candidate. This one or a titanium version.

Chrono, gmt, specific am pm indicator, date and water resistant.

I have simple time piece requirements. A Longines with their 30LS movement and featuring a full set of Arabic numeral markers, because it has everything needed and nothing not needed.

I really like the 116520 Daytona, 3 day power reserve, slim, not too large, automatic, reliable, 100M water resistant, good bracelet, and it works with anything from a suit to board shorts. The only problem is if you're careless and bang it into things it shows damage easily.

The Seamaster Pro 300M Diver would be the Omega choice, ideally the third gen ceramic with cal 2500D. Every person I've recommended that watch to as their one good watch has been so happy with it, and unlike the Daytona, it has to be one of the most damage resistant watches ever.

The smooth, flush transition from domed crystal to ceramic bezel means it takes blows and they just glance off, the lugs being scalloped and round means they don't have sharp edges to ding, the alternating brushed and polished detail on the bracelet links limits and hides scratches, and the smooth brushed clasp allows for easy touch-ups with a scotchbrite pad.

While the Daytona my brother wore at his bar & restaurant was destroyed twice over in the time he wore it there (https://omegaforums.net/threads/rolex-ss-daytona-after-7-years.1720/), his restaurant manager had a 3rd Gen Seamaster Pro ceramic for nearly a decade and it looked almost brand new despite the same abuse.

Cannot speak highly enough of those Seamasters, we filmed one of them over a decade ago here:

It would be a bit boring, but I could probably live with just a 5513.

I've oft thought of my '1 watch collection', and would have an awful time choosing.

My FAVORITE watch is my modern Ed White 321. I would probably pick that as my 1 watch collection. That said, it is 'fragile' in a way that others are (at least in my mind) that I wouldn't wear it all the time.

My GMT Master fits kind of the same situation: I love it, and would wear it in most situations, except its 'too nice' for some of the wearing of watches I do, so it fits in the same 'feels fragile' as the Ed White.

My current "can wear to do absolutely anything dangerous" watch is my 7750 powered 300m chronograph. However, I ALSO couldn't wear it all the time, its a bit chunky, so any time I need tighter cuffs (admittedly rarely), or want something that doesn't feel like a brick.

SO in the end, if I needed a watch I could wear ALL the time, it would be a Seamaster 300m, or Rolex Explorer 2. BUT I'd spend a lot of the time on my wrist sad that it isn't a Speedmaster 馃榾
