Surfing the internet I stumbled upon an American guilloché dial maker. He started making dials in 2013 and, judging by the pictures, he has mastered the craft. The subdial has a unique pattern he devised and developed. It is a basket weave pattern within a basket weave pattern and is apparently very difficult to execute. A single dial takes a month to make. He currently sells his dial in a watch under his brand made with German-made Uhren-Werke Dresden (UWD) movement and and a German-made case.

He plans to eventually also make the movement and the case, to become a fully independent American watchmaker. He is doing excellent work and I wish Joshua the best.

Nice to see more interest in watchmaking in the USA.

Engine turned dials are soo cool. I saw this guy before while browsing for guilloche dials. I love the Breguet dials. Voutilainen is also top notch. Would love to own an Gronefeld with a Voutilainen (Comblémine) dial.

I like these a lot - very nice work. Unlike most dials done this way (see RGM's below) this design is not so "over the top" that it hurts my eyes to look at it. Sometimes restraint is a difficult thing to find in a guilloché dial...

@Archer I hear you; love the style of Roger Smith/ George Daniels. It seems to me Shapiro got inspired by them.

With exception of the top RGM, all of the other dials are Bespoke... no accounting for taste I guess. Just sayin.. the standard dials are more classical.
