Hi have found this Connie for sale for 800.00 usd and would like opinions on the dial and movement type. The watch is in pretty worn condition but I think original? Couldn't see the movement at this time. The gold crown is worn pretty bad.
    Thanks for any help

Actually looks pretty nice, just needs a case cleaning and a new crystal. Even a crystal polish will make it look a whole lot better. :)

Yep, pics dont do it justice. As Kyle said, a very light clean with a jewellers cloth and a new crystal and it will scrub up very well. Nice, sharp lugs, so perhaps avoid polishing.

    Cheers

Nice gold cap dog leg pie pan Connie.

While it looks pretty worn, it only appears to be honest wear and doesnt seem to have been polished.

The caseback is remarkably free of gouges for a watch of this era.

A service, a light polish and a fresh gold tension ring crystal and that will look bonza

    Cheers

An excellent one. Buy quickly. Avoid case polishing at all cost!

Sorry, I should have clarified what my idea of a light polish is.

Only use a jewellers cloth and apply the same amount of pressure and vigour as you would if using 60 grade sandpaper on a baby's face.

High speed buffing wheels and jewellers rouge are NOT recommended, leave that to OC Watchco :D

Agree with the above, actually a lovely looking watch and only requires a 30 minute make over which will yield amazing results. Polywatch at the ready:)

Thanks so much yes I had to use 2000 grit wet dry sandpaper to take out that gnarly scratch on the top right.I got it pretty much all out. Turns out I'm going to have to get it serviced it's running about three minutes fast and the 24 hour period. I also got a pic of the movement.
