Hi everyone, I hope you are being well.
I am the happy owner of a constellation and I've been wondering if it has the matching crown.
It is a Constellation 168.005 sold in 1969.
Here are the papers of the watch:

    And here is the watch:

I've searched a bit from my side and I've found that the decagonal crown might be the one corresponding to my watch:

Yet I'm not 100% sure about what I've found. Maybe it is another crown which is the right one ::confused2::.
I'm kindly waiting for your thoughts !

    Best regards

    Hi @la_lusigne,
Your watch has a replacement crown, the original version for ref 168.005 would be the 4204 (thin decagonal) you found above. These are now obsolete but with patience they can sometimes be found on eBay.

Here’s one of mine with correct crown.

    Hi @Noddyman ,

Thanks for the response. I’ve found this example on eBay as you mentioned :

Is it the correct one ?

    Best regards

Do you have a photo of the side? Need that to tell for sure. I’ll say that the logo implies it’s a newer replacement or service part, but that’s getting a little picky I think.

    I would say not.
There are lots of sellers on eBay who claim to offer genuine crowns. Lots of these are fakes imo and more likely if they are selling multiple batches.
I would prefer to find one like this with the old style logo.

Also ask the seller for accurate (vernier) dimensions if possible and make sure they match up exactly with the 4204 diagram you post above.

I think it is a 4219 the guy is selling. What does the 4219 fit?

Pics of the one I bought below. The post on the one I have is flush with bottom of crown. No tube protrudes like the 4220 diagram

Looks like an original based on the logo. It’s the thicker variety so not what the OP needs.

Sorry for the spam, it seemed my message have not been sent.
I’ll ask more photos and measures of the crown.
    Thanks for your replies.

I’ve seen them on 2782 and 2852 Connies. I believe there may be others though.
