hi experts and masters, Just wondering your assessment of this piece. Reference/caliber/year? Redial? Thanks in advance. Will try to get a picture of the movement.
Impossible to say anything with pictures like that. Tell the seller to remove the Vasoline from the camera lens. In addition, we need pictures of the movement and inside of the case back. gatorcpa
I suspect that's a nice original black dial. While the crown is a later replacement, the gold capped case looks to be in reasonably good shape.
Here are more photos Caseback says: 14393 4 SC Movement appears to be a cal. 561 17372331 appears to be the serial number Any further info would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Is the seller sending you these photos? If you want meaningful advice on the state of the movement you will need photos that are in focus.
I'd be buying now based on those pictures if the price is right... and with pictures like that I suspect it could be a potential bargain
I would love to take a bite out of that. Seems all original except for the crown. Of course with pictures like that there is always a gamble. But the automatic chronometer words seems to be in the right place for a 14393.
If the dial is original, then 1300 is a pretty good deal... You still need clearer pictures of the dial though.
Let’s see some decent pictures of the watch now you have it. Enquiring minds want to know if your gamble paid off.
