Hello everyone!

I came across this Pie Pan at an antique shop and wanted to get some thoughts from the experts. The face is a little rough. Also I was unable to change the date. Who knows the last time it has been serviced. However I was able to wind the watch and change the time.

I passed on purchasing the watch since it was listed for $1200. Felt like with some searching and a little bit of patience I could find a better one on eBay.

Thanks in advance!

Looks to be a gold capped reference 168.005. The lugs are heavily polished and the dial damage at 3 o'clock suggests moisture intrusion. Easy pass at $1200.

Try searching here in Private Sales thread with watches from established OF members. More likely to find decent examples here than EB

That's quite a poor example. I agree you should keep hunting.

Case is very bad, dial is very bad, crown is wrong and case-back is covered with idiot-marks from someone trying to open it with needle nose pliers. That one's a write-off, good as a movement donor only.
