Actually, I admire your determination, Dan, and always enjoy reading these "is this a pie pan dial threads." I do think that you're on the wrong side of the argument, but there aren't too many members on OF with a better storehouse of Omega knowledge, so at a minimum I'll give you an A for effort. 😀

There are tons of members with much more Omega knowledge ... I'm just a contrarian on this issue.

I'm still rather new to game and eager to learn, and I find these "pie pan" battles quite amusing to read, like here. From what I understand there's two camps: the one that count painted 12 sided inner dials as pie pans and the other camp that require sharp angles and facets (I count myself in the latter camp in the sense that I would only be prepared to pay a "pie pan premium" for a dial that has the sharp edges, but that's me).

However, the OP's example doesn't even have the painted 12 sides, it's a round disc. For me it's a "mere" two-tone dial. If this counts as a pie pan any two-tone dial on any Constellation and Seamaster should count as a pie pan by that logic. And as positive side effect, I all of a sudden would have three more pie pans in my collection as of today 😁.

Probably out of my depth again here, but the cross hair is not top dead centre on the 12 and the second marker track and Desmond indicates the star should also be dead on, and this doesn’t look like glass distortion to me
