Guys I'm new to the vintige omega watches world I noticed this nice looking pie pan constellation on an auction site.
Could you please tell me guys if it's fake?

 

Genuine but the dial has been poorly refinished and the case heavily polished, I'll stop there.

Dial is re done and not particularly well. If you want a re done dial, Burlington Arcade in London have them (pretty sure the place is Somlo and they are affiliated with Omega).

I would pass on this one, but the Dog Leg piepan Connie is my favorite version from 50s-60s.

 

Is the crown a replacement as well? It is signed, but doesn't look right.

 

I think you're right. I believe these are supposed to have an 8 sided crown

 

You are right about the 8 sided crowns that match the "pie pan" geometry. I have an early Pie pan with a seamaster style crown, but I'm pretty sure it is original. I have heard that Omega used the seamaster crown in the very early pie pan's. This one however doesn't look like that style either.

 

I just looks "thinner". Or am I crazy?
