Hi All, Im trying to get myself a Pie-Pan but really need advise - What do you think of the following Pie-Pan with original box / papers and receipts, chronometer certificate. The bracelet is slightly newer version compared to the watch but everything else is original for the watch. Main thing …. it has previous owners name engraved at the back .. but it may be able to be polished off. Would you say its worth between £1400-£1600? or less? or more?

Any information or comments will be appreciated.
    Thanks

Looks good to me. Nice watch. Don't polish the name off the back. That's a big faux pas that will devalue the watch. Price seems fair. Wish I had that nice bracelet on mine.

Larry thank you for the comment.
Yeh if I did purchase it , I'd prob not polish it off.
Looks great and has a lot of its originals .. Not seen many about.

    Looks like a nice dial
    Bezel still has its edges
Pics not quite good enough to check the lugs properly
    Medallion slightly worn but okay
    Wrong crown
Wrong hands - they've had Lume (missing on minute hand) but there doesn't appear to be any on the indices - so should have black insert to match onyx indices
Looks like some rubbing on the rotor - any pics of the inner case back to see if it shows there?
Should be a 561 but images don't show full number
Do you have the serial number?
It's a nice set but not perfect
The engraving wouldn't bother me if you like the watch
    Hope that helps

See that dark ring on the case back? - that's the rotor rubbing
If the watch has been serviced it might be okay but if not would need sorting
    The 561 is correct
The serial number is there - looks like 18,6m so could be a '63
It is an omega crown just not the correct original style

Thank you very much for the comments.
    '63 as in year 1963 ?
Would you know model number for this ? And would you say it's worth the price ?

To me the most important is the dial and case of course. IMHO this constellation is pretty good in that way! :)
Moreover, the bracelet is 8270 the good one for this watch (good reference for this period and pretty rare). The price is a little high to me but you get a good constellation as well

The model number is on the case back
    14393 SC
Edit - crossed posts with Efauser
    Yep 1963
    Range for 18xxM is '61-'63 (& possibly '64)
Worth the price? is a difficult question
It depends on how correct you want your watch to be
The box and papers add some value - if they are correct - any pics of those papers?
Case looks okay - perhaps just a little polished
    Hands can be replaced
BoR doesn't really look to sit right on that watch but nice to have
Assume Requires service - with bits £300-ish
    I wouldn't personally spend £1400 on it - but I'm not you....

+1, as they say. But I've long stopped trying to understand valuations on these. The one week three or four come for sale on OF and take ages to move at reasonable prices, the next two weeks a much better looking and better priced one languishes apparently unnoticed...

EDIT: Christ, I didn't even notice that you wrote "£", not "$"!

    £1400 is robbery.

paperwork attached. Sorry for posting pics late, i didn't want to bombard post with pics.
What would you say a reasonable price would be for this?
From the comments I wouldn't want to pay £1400 myself now

Due to the rising prices of vintage watches, Omega too, Speedmaster and Seamaster and going crazy!! So getting a full set constellation would be a good investment in years to come.
    1400€ or $ :)

    Pics are good!
    The more the merrier

The serial is 18,0xx puts it nearer '61
But '63 is okay for sale date so looks correct
    Looks likeBoR is original too
    Connies are rising in price
The dial on this is good but £1400 is retail price for this watch
It will set you back minimum £1700 with service/corrections
My advice - With patience you could get a stunning completely correct Connie (even a pie pan) privately for that money
    Keep checking the boards here

I like the box, I like the papers, I like the bezel, the dial looks pretty ok, but it isn't singing to me at all, it just looks a bit world weary. I get that already when I look in the mirror, I don't need it when I look at my wrist ;)

If I was specifically looking for 14393 I think I would be more likely to consider this one.

Good diversion tactics with the link ;)
    18 k 168.010 with wrong movement
Now you're just trying to confuse the OP :)

    Nice watch,
I'm currently searching for ones in Uk seen some in US and other places. Don't want to be paying anything additional when arrives in Uk with customs etc
That was the closest I found to an original pie pan form the last month or so of searching. :(
I was on verge of buying a seamaster 300m 2531.8000 (bond watch) before that.

    Sorry about that! Corrected!

I had copied that as I was going to post it as a warning not to hit the BIN due to the 565......but I must have got sidetracked somewhere else :whistling:

I'd posted a wrong link, I've now posted the correct one. It is actually in Athens, so no taxes to worry about if you're in the UK

In addition to the lume thing, at least the minute hand is too long IMHO. It should end at the minute indices.and I guess the hour hand is too long as well, but Im not 100% positive about that.
