A Constellation in slightly better shape just sold for a little over $800:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-CONST...%2BmKPrrE7%2FeoNUd8gI%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=ncPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

The above watch had the correct crown, the lugs were crisper, and the dial in a little better shape. I'd say if you got a $600 or better offer for yours it's worth taking.

well, this one is missing the glass and needs new handles. Probably could use a cleaning as well. Does that only affect the value by $200?

That's probably the low estimate to get it all fixed up

Still I'm sure you'll be doing well on the sale.

    Good luck,

It sure is a low estimate. To bring it up to scratch it will also need a new rotor bridge to replace the ring-in without the signature parts, but it's the dial I suspect that is generating the interest. It is in pretty good shape, judging by the look of it in the pics.

well, thanks for being straight up with the forum, elf. That's better than "my grandad left me this cherished heirloom, what is it worth?" and an ebay listing 30 minutes later.
