·Hi all,
I hope you are well!
I bought a constellation Manhattan about 6 months ago on Chrono24. I know these watches aren’t that loved by the watch community and I understand why it’s quite polarising, but I love it. I really like the two tone 80s look and the thinness of the bracelet and case. It also makes for a great wrist roll in the sunshine.
I wanted to ask, I want to service the watch and get a new bracelet it. I essentially want it to look new again. I had a look on the Omega site and they quote £450. Now I imagine this won’t include the cost of a new bracelet and some other bits it may need. Overall, I feel like £450 just to service a quartz movement is a bit steep (although I could be wrong). What I therefore want to ask, is if I send this watch to an indie watchmaker, will it be considerably cheaper and would they be able to source parts like an original and new bracelet?
Thanks in advance!
Jordan
