    Hi everybody,
could you guys help me identify this constellation? I found it in a demolition site here in Brazil.
I did some research and found that it is probably a 168.005, not sure.
The cost for restore is around $250 (not omega official restoration)
Worth restore it? (just for personal use...)
    It still working!!

That's a cool story and it would be fund to have it restored. Unfortunately the dial has been repainted. In fact, one of the words is misspelled.

Looks more like a 14393 with a refinished dial ( they’re everywhere), IMHO.
    Nice catch !

Mid-spelled word? Which one? Chronometre, perhaps? That’s the French way of spelling chronometer. The watch likely was originally sold in Europe. The dial is a mess, but I personally doubt it has ever been refinished.

Maybe I should make this a quiz for you to figure out which word is mis-spelled. It's not "CHRONOMETRE".

Edit: Too late, somebody else figured it out.

At the end of the day the bulk of the value is in the dial. It’s never going to look good unless it’s refinished which will kill the dial price.

I’d ebay it for parts. The caseback has some value and the front of the plated case isn’t bad

[humor] [sarcasm] Surely it's original - probably made in the same factory that Omega uses for the Speedmasters that are missing the second I in MISSONS. [/sarcasm] [/humor]

    :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

Even without the misspelled word - it’s a pretty obvious redial.

+1 for sticking it on eBay and seeing what you get for it.

    He might've just been confused...

In any case, it is a rose gold constellation, and even with the questionable dial it would definitely bring more value to you on eBay, as the others have suggested, than going through the process of finding a replacement dial.

you could also clean the dial and just use the watch. In that state, it would probably only fetch 200$ on eBay.

I would clean up the case, replace the crystal and have the movement serviced. Keep everything else as-is including the dial...it’s a cool story.

Contact Omega Inc. and ask if they'd like to buy it exactly as is... to be the center of an ad:
"Building blown up... case scratched a bit... crystal broken... movement working fine!"

I'd keep it as is, maybe change the glass. hand clean up the case with a jeweller cloth (a bit), and wear it to the beach as the ultimate beater with a story!! (no swimming with it on of course!!)
When the time comes and you've had enough of it, you could sell on the movement (perhaps) and the case separately for a couple of bob.
