Been offered a couple of Connies from a respected seller. Based on initial photos condition doesn't tickle me pink. But hey it's fun to look. Any thoughts?

 

The second one is faded but I don't think it's a redial although the picture quality is a challenge.

Second one looked like someone tried to amateur clean the dial and wiped off the paint

 

So it's a bad cleaning redial...

 

The cleaning has somewhat obscured the outrage perpetrated on the dial. Pity.

 

I'll just send it to Hoi's friend. This is certainly the case where high quality redial is justified to be done rather than left it like that (hey....it's redial already) or as you suggest (brrr....my spine is tingling with cold) melt it . Melting a stepped pie pan dial is a major sin in Omega realm.

Definitely. It's silly to try to value the watch without better pix of the dial, the caseback (for the medallion), and of course the movement condition is terribly important as well. The crown is wrong too, isn't it?

 

Here's Mickey's rose capped Connie that Klye was kind enough to send his way. The only shortcoming, which Klye pointed-out, was an incorrect crown. It was made very clearly that the correct rose crown is really hard to source. A very generous fellow PuristS gifted Mickey the one it's wearing now ;-)
