    hey,

i think i made a huge mistake. i got this for 1300 euro and sold it for 1500 euro. i belive that its a deluxe, but didnt know that back then.

is it a deluxe? (or just a regular 18k?)

--> i dont know how to figure out if the dial is solid gold...

Condition of the watch is poor and you did good selling it for 1500 euro - dial is refinished and case is overpolished.

My screen isn't big enough to tell with certainty, but I suspect your dial could have been refinished as the spacing of the upper case lettering looks dodgy and the M in Automatic isn't consistent with what usually appears on the DeLuxe editions. Pie pan versions usually have both Ms in the double chevron style but domed dials usually have only Automatic in the double chevron style. Your dial is missing Swiss Made as well.

The case has lost its definition and no longer has the sharp bevels on the lugs, as well as the medallion being quite worn. So I don't think you should lament making a couple of hundred Euros in selling it on.

Below is a 168.011 Deluxe and you'll note that generally you can identify a gold dial by throwing a bit of light on it.
