Hey guys, can somebody weigh their watch for me without the bracelet or strap. I'm looking for somebody with a Constellation 18K de Luxe 2799 cal. 354. Non stepped dial. I just want to know what they weigh in grams.

There was a thread on this some months ago. Someone measured the weight of a 18k gold case, case back, and movement/dial separately.

Are you looking for the weight of the gold? You'd need to remove the crystal, crown, and movement, then put the entire case, dial, and hands on the scale.

Hi Dennis, nope. I'm just looking for the weight of the watch without the strap on. I wouldn't ask somebody to take their watch apart just to weigh it for me. That would be more than a little presumptuous. :)

Just weighed an 18k gold deluxe 2699 I am about to ship to its new owner - 43 grams. I believe the 2799 which is a snapback should weigh about the same.

It is a watch I've had for some time and one Desmond featured as a star of the month some years back in his blog.

It's a good idea to weigh and keep record how heavy an original gold watch is. Then you can find which one is original, which has been cut and ground to get a sharp look
