As I'm new to Omega, I need some advice from the wise Omega people. Are these classics and collectable? I have a chance at buying but what is a good price? Thanks & happy Easter!

My advice: do not buy gold plated!

Always take either SS or solid gold (if you can afford)...

I am in agreement especially for the beginning collector. I always make exceptions though when the condition warrants it and the very few occasions when the watch is very uncommon.

The 2 C cases are not gold plated but "gold capped" that means it's about 200 micron thick.
The manual winding looks like a redial to me.

the first C case has considerable wear thru on the points so I'd only be looking at the second one.

#3 is the pick of that litter. However, the 564 came after the 561 and C-cases weren't released until December 1964 so it's not a 1960 watch - more like late 60's.

The cal 283 is definitely a redial. As Dennis says, only #3 is worth considering.

    Chrono24 is normally quite expensive.
    Normally better deals around here;-)

I may be a naive city bumpkin, but I would think what is and is not collectable is up to what you want to collect, unless you're thinking about resale value for a rainy day in the future.
