After buying a ladies watch on accident I figured I would ask here before purchasing this watch. I have a few questions, Is this watch worth the listed price? Would finding an original band be hard? and lastly does the watch look authentic?

Thank you guys in advance for helping me out, new to vintage watches.

Parts are a nightmare, as is finding a watchmaker that will work on it, I'd skip it and find something mechanical or even quartz, hummers are interesting and unique but they're an esoteric relic of the 70s that really got left behind. Literally most watchmakers will turn you away if you have a tuning fork watch with a problem.

That is not a ladys watch . As a matter of fact omega never did any ladies "hummer" . And i disagree with @dsio that it's hard to find parts and repair the f300 watches . But old omega guartz are a nightmare to find parts for? And cost a lot to repair . For f300 watches and some old quartz you have Electric watches and http://www.accutrons.com/index.htm#links that servicee this watches. I will pass the watch in the Ebay auction thought? As it doesn't have the original bracelet?

Where are you getting all your F300 parts from?

Ususally Ebay and i send them to Paul on http://electric-watches.co.uk/ for service . Like any other vintage watch the parts are hard to find. But not harder then anything else. And there where many other makers like Tissot or Longines and Certina that used the Esa 9162 or 9164 movement. Making parts for the movement easier to find.

Not sure I agree.... there are plenty of specialists here in the UK with an abundance of parts and skills. Paul Wirdnam of Electric watches (as mentioned above) is superb and STS and indeed Omega still service F300 calibres

You could even buy a NOS Mosaba movement and take the parts from. Some which i have seen a long time out there .

I realise you have that in the UK, we don't have that here, nor do many countries.

Thanks for all the input guys. I decided to just buy an auto 70's Geneve instead. Looked around and they seem to be good watches.

    I wouldn't buy for several reasons :
-Gold plated cases are often worn out and must be replated-
-this type of bracelet ends are complicated to replace.
-Finding a NOS Mosaba is costly

the price is decent if everything is original
Something in the description is not clear : "
Movement : ESA 9164, Omega 1250 electronic module"
    Does it mean
    A/ ESA replacement movement
B/ original 1250 on an ETA model.

Yeah I was lucky enough to be able to send back. I just bought this watch instead. Cal. 1022, Ref. 166.0117 any opinion? Was just serviced and bought from a reputable seller.

For the price, it looks pretty cool to me. The only thing that holds me back is the bracelet attachment. If I could put a leather strap on it I'd be very tempted to pick it up.

There is no picture of the movement? So could be anything like you say . But would stay away or give an offer for a lower price?
