Case has lost some edges due to polishing, and the medallion has lost a lot of details due to wear and polishing. Far from the crispest one I have seen......
Thanks all. I'm learning quickly so your input on the good and bad is very useful. You feel this one has been polished too much and has had some of the details removed as a result? (But otherwise original?)
It is not original in my definition since too much details have been removed in order to make it look shiny. Kind of like a 59 Cadillac that someone have polished so much that the fins are all but gone . Still a Cadillac, but with (too me) significant features gone. I would look for something else. In general you will find better preserved examples at much better prices in enthusiast forums like this.
I didn't look too closely at the dial, just looking at the case it was clear it'd been around the block too many times.
Ive got a gold plated one and the dial on the other definately looks refinished. Most of these had a gold or silver dial i think. There was a nice one on the sales corner last month in stainless. They do come up and keep amazing time.
