Are all Constellation 'C' cases common, whether a case houses the caliber 561, 564 or 751 movement?

    Thank-you.

Some relatively common models are desired so they command higher prices. The early models (introduced in December 1964) had 561's and then 564's, followed by the most common 751 models. I wouldn't call any of them rare, except maybe the white gold 168.009 maybe.

The actual middles and case backs are the same. Bezels of course differ, thus you can place a val 561 into a case number for a 751 and get away with it. Later cal 1011 and 1021 cases are slightly different.

    Thanks for your response.

Very likely, I did not make myself clear and very sorry. I want to know whether the cases and movements are interchangeable.

    Thank-you.

Thanks for your response and also, the information.

It has been suggested to me that I first look for a good case and then a good movement to make one good Omega Constellation 'C', since the price of this series is still within my means. Will such a watch be considered a franken?

    Thank-you.

simple answer to that is yes. I have a Moonwatch where the serial number on the movement and case collate, so totally original in that sense. The hands have been changed along with the bezel and a clear back case fitted, and that watch was shot down in flames as a Franken... but i'm not bitter..::censored::

My SM300 is a pile of parts assembled with a vintage Cal 552 out of a Geneve or Deville and I still love it!
