I recently acquired a vintage Omega Constellation as shown below. I'm happy with my purchase but I'm a bit confused by the bracelet. The outer clasp is marked with the Omega logo but the inside reads "Maranne by Duchess Stainless Steel Japan". Is this bracelet legitimate? I've seen another on ebay with an Omega bracelet "1155/146" but I'm also not completely sure it's the same reference. I'll probably keep the watch either way but I'd like to know going forward because I need one more link for the bracelet and it'd be nice to know in case I ever try to sell it. Thanks in advance!
Never came across the Omega - Maranne combination so far, IMO they took the outer part of an Omega clasp and attatched it to an Maranne bracelet... Or the other way around but I don't think its a legit combination
Thanks - that's what I was afraid of. There is some play where the bracelet meets the clasp and the end links are also kind of odd looking.
I have the identical model, and it should come with the integral Omega braclet 1190/192 Most of your bracelet looks correct, apart from the bit you are questioning The end links on yours need tightening and you can see that someone previously has tried to do this badly, as the end links look buckled and warped Cheers paul
It could be that the clasp has been replaced, but the outside with the Omega logo has been retained. Shouldn’t be a big deal to find a replacement if you scour eBay hard enough. gatorcpa
Thanks Paul but the 1190/192 looks like a different bracelet that wouldn't match with my case. Regardless, I guess my real question is how do I get the right replacement part for the clasp and an extra link so I can wear it?
