I recently picked up this Constellation (168.017) for what I thought was a good price. It needs a bit of a cleaning but otherwise looks to be in good shape, with the correct case finishes per Desmond's blog. What I couldn't figure out from the listing is whether or not the hands and lume pips have been relumed (seller said they hadn't; it was "Dad's old watch"). If they were relumed it was a very good job and some time ago, as the actual color is somewhat less striking and more faded/creamy than the pictures show. There is also no "T" next to the "Swiss Made," but as I understand it there are exceptions to this rule on C-case Connies. Any thoughts on this one? Sellers photos: My photos:
Glad you think so! I was worried at first but the closer I look it just seems well preserved. Now if I could only remove "Dad's" old springbars, they are welded on here...
He could have been an outstanding NBA player were it not for a knee injury. Natural small forward and played center on a great UM team (Rickey Green, et al).
