Constellation 168.017 - buy or pass?

I’ve been eyeing this one for a while now and finally considering pulling the trigger. Any red flags for this one? From my observation the hands looked relumed? the bracelet end links looks pretty beat up, and the dial isn’t in the best condition on the edges. Maybe a replacement crown and caseback looks polish?

Seller is asking $600 and I’m hoping to wear this casually everyday.
This would be my first Connie, so I want to make it right but at the same time my budget is a little tight.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I’m seeing nothing wrong with the dial or hands. In fact both look good.

Looks good, an honest example at a very good price, a lot less than I paid for mine🙄

Be careful who you are buying from. The genuine store in possession of this watch is called Closer0924 on eBay($848) and Closer on C24 ($703), with both being fixed price listings. There are multiple other stores listing this watch as well ($1,906) but I am not seeing any price of $600.

Thank you for this. I had to double check and it is the same seller.
A friend is helping me purchase this from Japan and I believe the prices are a little less when bought in Japan.

The prices are actually higher if you buy from Japan fyi, because you pay 10% Japan tax, Japan shipping, costs, hidden fees, International shipping, I've bought 2-3 watches from closer, maybe something changed but usually their international prices are the best

But from the photo styling, it's not one of closer's watches

In any case, looks like an honest watch, only the endlinks are a bit worn

I was under that impression too, when I first made my post above. I even included that in my comment above but retracted it after I closer examined the watch. The watch in the black back ground and the watch in the white soft box are the same. The wear marks on the bezel and case are identical. It’s possible the OP or their contact asked for additional photos and those were what were supplied. Image in the black background vs Closers listing

In any case, good luck with your search OP. Currently wearing mine today and patiently awaiting the bracelet in the mail.

This is really helpful. I believe my friend knows someone at Closer. I didn't ask him too much about it as he was willing to help give me a discount and I don't think he's trying to screw me over.

I feel more confident about the watch now and will pull the trigger soon. Thanks a bunch!

PS yours look amazing

Remember...if you really don't love it, then pass. There is always another watch down the road that you will love more. Don't stampede yourself into buying something just so you can feel you've "joined the club." I just walked away from a good (not great) deal on a truly rare 18k Rolex OP because, after sleeping on it over night, I decided that one day I'll find another example that I will like more...and maybe even spend more to own. And maybe I won't. But then I'll find something else. There is always another watch down the road...yes I said it again.

Great advise.
I actually really like the watch. I was just looking out for any major red flags because I know that would bother me more than anything.
A part of me do want one in better condition but I know I would be too careful wearing it, or not even wear it at all.

Buy it and wear it every day. They are good strong watches and meant to be used that way. That is what makes them
so pleasurable on the wrist...you don't have to baby them.

wow, good eye

OP's friend must be very close to closer, because they are usually very very unhelpful, don't share any images, and send bot-like replies

It’s seen some life but at that price you’ll easily get your money back any time when you find a better example.

Mine says hi.

assuming this is real, i mean the price and the photo as it looks original, this is a buy for me, this is a lot cheaper than my C-Case that I bought few months ago

looking good in my opinon. The linen dials are very atractive. Maybe the lume tos are a bit irregular, but that could also be due to aging.
case and bracelet may need a spa treatment, and then it will be a wonderful watch to wear.
