Hi guys wondering what you guys think of this 168.005. Seller says champagne dial which is rare , non quick set and unpolished.

From my untrained eyes I thought the lugs look rounded.

And just wanted to make sure the dial and movement look legit.

Asking price is $1990 aud

Thanks guys

Those lugs have been intimate with a buffing wheel.

Those lugs look like chewed up bubble gum and the dial has stains near 6, potentially from humidity ingress. I'd pass, wait for a better piece.

Looks like pink gold cap.
However, lugs are heavily polished and dial is heavily ‘foxed’.

Certainly not a $2000 watch.
As a pink pie pan dogleg, it may qualify as a $1200 watch.

It’s 1990 Australian dollars - that would be just over 1,400 USD.

The US$ is relatively weak at the moment, so at just under $1300 / £990 the price makes more sense.

However, whilst it’s not a collector’s piece, the watch looks correct and if the look of the watch is something that appeals to you and fits your budget then it’s something you might consider.

Given the condition the price is still a little strong IMHO.
Factoring in the need for a service, if you’re interested in the watch you should aim for a price of nearer 1,500AUD /US$1000.
