    Hi

What can be said about this 14k 168.005? I've asked the seller for better pictures. He wants $1300 for it.

Watch looks more or less correct. Dial is original.

Crown is probably a replacement, but there isn't a clear picture.

May have been polished a bit aggressively on the top, but the medallion on the back is in good shape.

    Price is very attractive. :)

Thanks for the confirmation. I got another set of pictures but really nothing better. I took my chances and bought it. Will post better pictures when it arrives.

There's one thing that puzzles me. There seems to be "holes" on the back of the lugs on the crown side. What can that be, casting faults?

Most likely hallmarks indicating solid gold.

Yes. If you closely at this picture, you can see them:

I thought the Constellation backing is meant to have different sized stars? In a clockwise direction, Big, Big, Small, Small, Small, Big, Small, Small.

I have 3 Connies. 1 (Pie Pan) is as you describe. The other 2 ('C' and f300) are both the same as the OP's

Ah sorry. It was more a curiosity based question rather than a "you have a fake" statement. :D

$1300 for a solid 14K pie pan? Wow, the possible sale of my gold capped version has been postponed a bit now :(

Good point. Here's the other one, ref. 14393 from 1960, gold capped:

Hoho, got it yesterday. Here's my pictures:

Looks better than I expected, very happy! Just a slight patina on the dial, hardly visible without a loupe.
