Hi everyone,
what do you think about this dial? Such a clean black dial makes me cautious, the only thing I can really point out is the way Omega is written/connected.

And the hands and the crown? The crown looks thicker than normal, but then again I'm not an expert on crowns either.
Thanks.

The dial has been repainted, and the crown is an incorrect service replacement. The hands seem fine.

Gloss dials should be glossy, and the print should be metallic, not the grainy metallic of metal-colored paint. Dog leg case crowns are slimmer, and the correct part number is 4204. If I were you, I'd pass on this, since the seller is definitely asking a premium for that black dial, even if it is not original.

Agree with the above, redial and also the case is over polished. The hands look like the only original pieces. I'd pass too.

Was just gonna add the same remark regarding the case. Takes away the character of those doglegs.

Will definitely pass, thanks! The dial 'felt' wrong, but I could not really say why. The gloss vs matt dial was new to me. Will try to look for other examples to compare.

I think perhaps you need to study your Constellation dials a bit more.

Pointy As and straight Ms on the upper text?
Straight N in Constellation?

All wrong for a Connie of this reference

Yes, found another thread with Hi-res pictures that helps a lot. Could have saved a thread if I would have read that.
