Hi,

This looks a good watch to me, very keen to hear thoughts here on dial and lugs. Movement definitely looks like a service required.

What would be fair value pricing on this?

Everything looks ok with this one.
Nice sunburst dome dial.
The case has been polished and the lugs look poor in the head-on image but not quite so bad in the angled image.
Crown is a replacement.

It’s much easier if you tell us what the asking price is.

Not an unreasonable price in today’s market for a decent dome dial dogleg no date.
However, I think you would need to see better pictures of the case.
From what you have, it is impossible to assess the lugs with any certainty.
- and that will make all the difference to desirability (and thus value)

Do these help at all?

IMO, this watch has the beginning of the “melted ice” look. A little too heavy handed with the polishing wheel. It’s a shame because the dial looks nice.

Doglegs aren’t that easy to photograph and the reflections and out of focus pics don’t actually allow you to see this watch properly.

Some images make the lugs look really poor whilst others, not so bad.

If you are serious about pursuing this watch , ask the seller for indirect daylight pics on a neutral background and various angles of the lugs to see what they really look like.

My sense is that the watch is about average/mediocre, and that the asking price probably reflects the condition in the current market (assuming it is from a professional). Some blemishes on the dial and enough polishing to be annoying.

If this is a private sale with no warranty etc., then I think the asking price is a bit high, but I trust the OP has researched prices in his market.

Thanks Dan, agree re price. I won't be paying the list and only will buy if can negotiate sub-£1k. UK prices are a multiplier vs International, and prices have jacked everywhere of late anyway.
