This is definitely one I haven't seen before, going no reserve currently, very cool dial, quite sharp case for 14K gold, incredibly cool case-back engraving with nice fonts and a clean movement. I have never seen one of these listed before but I'm sure given how nice of a Constellation it is, and how high demand Coca Cola merch is in general it won't go cheap.

What do you guys reckon it will go for?

Great example of how far out dating the watch by movt serial can be versus sales date. (depending on how you want to date a ‘birth year’ watch)

The dating charts by serial would place this somewhere in the second half of 1966 but the inscription is for the end of Q1 1968.

Even assuming a reasonable lead in to order a watch with a presentation back, to be inscribed, we’re still talking a potential 12-18 month lag.

As an additional note:
Just noticed that the dial has the missing text format.

This format ‘officially’ disappeared around 3-4 years before the movt was produced and 5-6 years before the watch was gifted.

So, the dial is a special as well as the case.
(I’m guessing Coca Cola wielded some serious clout with Omega)

It will be interesting to see whether the novelty of the customization is a positive or a negative. Coca-Cola is a popular brand and Coke signs/machines/etc. are highly collectible. Certainly, corporate watches like this have become desirable in recent years, even the Dominos Rolex Air-Kings sell at a premium.

On the other hand, the logo cheapens the classic design of the dial and the watch is missing the iconic observatory on the case-back.

Personally, I wouldn't want it, but my guess is that the rarity and the fact that it appeals to multiple groups of collectors will push the price a bit. I'll go out on a limb and say $5,500 USD.

Cool watch. Not fond of the Coca Cola logo, but at least it’s not Turler… I assume the bracelet is worth nothing and this will only draw a limited audience - so my bet is on 3.5k€

Norman Morris had a special Omega Awards office in the U.S. for presentation watches like these:

My guess is that the dies for the Coca-Cola account were set up several years before this watch was made. When the order was placed, the dial was “made to order”.

The rest of the watch is typical for a U.S. market Constellation. 14K (not 18K) case and “OXG” on movement.

While I was searching for info about a less common reference of Seamster, the 2494 jumbo, I stumbled across the OVDB page for it and what do you know? Another Coca Cola dial this time from over a decade earlier in red.

Not sure what the text is below the Coca Cola red logo, maybe its related to the award the watch was issued for, maybe its related to the watch being a chronometer, hard to tell

Searching some Coca Cola history I do see why there are so many people that collect the memorabilia.

I remember as a little kid hearing this jingle all the time and it was so memorable, their marketing even exceeded smoking adverts in its quality which is a pretty high bar, this one was played in Australia for about a decade while I think it was a bit briefer overseas.

Damn, I must confess to being a Pepsi Max swilling heathen, but Coke Zero is a close second, just slightly less sweet. I don't touch Dr Pepper though, that stuff is awful.

There sure is a lot of money in sugar water, or sugar-free sugar water.

If you’re talking about the OP, it does have lume in the hands and at the ends of the indices.
