    Hi,

I am in the market for a Pie Pan and this one with a serial that dates it to around 1966 caught my eye. I think it is a little difficult to assess the MOY test, and I've heard that even the MOY test is not conclusive for later 60's Constellations.

Any Pie Pan gurus here that could help out to assess this dial?

IMO, the dial is original. However, it is somewhat damaged and this damage is generally not reversible.

This may have been caused by a failed gasket, so a careful inspection of the movement is necessary before purchase or bidding. You should also count on a full service for the watch at around $200 or so.

    Hope this helps,

That dial and rusted hands would turn me off from this one...It really all comes down to the price, I wouldn't pay too much for it if you decide to go with it. As Evan said above, inspection of movement and servicing are a must!

IMO, for a common model like this one, the watch has to be original and in excellent condition.
