I really want to love this watch, but am concerned it's a re-dial. What does the crowd think?

    Thanks!

    I'm not a crowd, but I think it's a redial.

I would lean toward a redial as well. The font is crude and there is some clear mis-alignment between the applied markers and the minute track.

You should be concerned, because its a bad one too. The gold plated case is also heavily worn particularly along the bottom edges of the lugs.

+ Wearing gloves presenting this watch is far over the top and would also make me suspicious

I much prefer looking at gloves compared to someone's dirty fingernails.

Harder and harder to find, sadly. I'd say best bet is this great site right here - keep your eyes peeled for sales by experienced members. Good luck!

How long did you search so far?

It's been a few months that I've been searching for the right Longines, Universal Geneve, Omega, or Vulcain.

    I feel perpetually lost...

Would be a lot easier if you decide to start with one of them, for example Omega Seamaster mid 1960s...

Or you check out the "Private Watch Sales" at OF

    https://omegaforums.net/forums/private-watch-sales/

there you get presented a lot of different watches from other members. You can't post there, just send the seller a personal message by klicking at the sellers name.

    Good luck!
