    Hi folks, good day.

i am considering this vintage Jardur Bezelmeter listed on ebay with a buy-it-now price. Been attracted to these for some time now due to its interesting aviation heritage, the dial, and of course the v72 movement.

was just doing some research online - haven't seen such a sweep second hand on a Bezelmeter. Lume also looks to have been redone (which seller has addressed).

just wanted to ask the community here what are their thoughts on this piece? grateful if Bezelmeter owners can chime in! the price is roughly in line with what the market trades at?

    Thanks in advance folks!

It has some issues, mostly disclosed by the seller. The chronograph bridge appears to have been tampered with; filed down to remove some engraving. Same with the caseback. The distinctive sweep hand is missing. Re-lumed hands. DIY drilled lugs. Lugs badly polished. The regulator is in a really extreme position.

Possibly why he didn’t try to sell it here.

Perfectly reasonable choice. The pool of buyers is much larger on eBay, and not everyone is looking for a pristine piece.

ah ok, thanks for the inputs thus far. i didn't realize the seller was a member here.

@Dan S - yeah the changes made to the bridge was what i was a little uncertain about. servicing for a movement like this would cost quite a fair bit. fair points on the others, but like the caseback and re-lumed hands were less of a concern for me. the drilled lug holes are a bit strange though (just wondering why would anyone do that, given this wasnt a fixed lug watch anyway).

    dial looks quite nice though!

It's not too bad; the condition is clearly shown in the high resolution photo in the listing. There is some paint loss. Very good listing IMO. Issues are disclosed and shown clearly.

Hope this post is not too old, I recently got the exact same watch, in +++ condition though, but with the exact same alteration on the caseback and bridge. In this listing, the seller states he believes this was done by a maker at some point. Anyone having any information on it ?

I've seen the bridge erased like that before on the Jardur. The theory is that other manufacturers were to blame, but I've never really gotten to the bottom of it. The caseback inside also erased in most cases when the bridge is erased...Weird...Would love to know the real story!

Wonder if the erased bridge is typical to the Jardur because I haven't seen it on other brands...

They pop up on Ebay regularly so it shouldn't be too hard.
