    Hi all,

I've currently got my eye on this birth-year speedy. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=440218

Seller says it was last serviced in 2012 based on the caseback markings and is keeping time to +2/s a day. The markings on the bezel are dings. It has a new period-correct bracelet. What are your thoughts on overall quality, originality, and value? I'm surprised there isn't more patina on the hour markers and would like more yellowing, so I'm wondering if this will change more as it gets older.

Also, what else would you ask the seller? I've already asked about originality, time keeping, the marks on the bezel, and service history, but I haven't seen movement pics yet.

    Thanks for the help.

I'm not an expert on vintage Speedmasters, but it looks good to me. Definitely see the movement before buying, and look for signs of water damage, etc. Good luck.
