How high should I bid not seeing the movement?
It is at $291 right now. Worth getting? Says it ticks says it’s 47mm lug to lug says it weighs 32.6g

Looks legit at first glance. Bidding is up to you. Look at previous eBay sales for guidance.

That case is rough, so I'd tend to think the movement may be as well. Having a hard time seeing through that crystal to determine if the dial is original or not.

As for value? $300 seems a bit of a gamble, but I am by no means schooled enough on these to know value after a good service, cleaning, and new or polished crystal.

Personally, I'd pass...but who knows?

Getting something cheap is not always getting a good value.

You'll spend more getting that presentable than buying a presentable watch.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this one ends with a winning bid of $450-500.

Are you a gambler?
Through the ? Crystal, the dial & hands look prety good shape.
The case? It appears to the right of the crown, to either be a chunk of plating gone or something on it?

Looks like the watch sold for just over $500. Finding a half decent Seamaster for less than $300 nowadays is a tall order.

The strap lugs have seen alot of sevice. Crowns original.
Ok here is my perspective and guess.
Does not appear to have played U-Boat, did not take in water as when a watch has moisture inside.
When wearing it the moisture condenses under the crystal ( temp dif ).
When the watch is taken off the moisture migrates to the dial & hands [ The hands rust & dial gets damaged]
So, as someone prior post $300 max. But it won't be an inexpesive service bill.
It is always easier to spend someone elses money!
Rember that, my favorite line.........

So, fix it up, or put the money to fix er up & buy something better......

Looks like a gamble and then a 400+ service for a watch that will never be worth over 600....

$500 + cost for restoration doesn't seem that bad to me. Then again, if the movement is bricked you could be looking at a lot more. That said, I would also gamble on that watch. The dial is probably quite stunning.
