··ΩF InvestiGatorFor some strange reason, I do not understand, as to why Omega did not produce this model in 18k solid gold case.
Probably because the model was made only for the USA. 14K was the standard for most American made gold jewelry items at the time, although 18K was used for some items. For some strange reason, I've never heard of Omega producing a solid gold dial in any fineness other than 18K, regardless of the fineness of the case.
Some of the later Constellation DeLuxe models also came with a 14K case with 18K dial for the US market.
