Was wondering if anyone has purchased any of the latest VHP quartz models launched late last year? If so, what are your thoughts amd which colour did you choose?

The white dial variant in the UK seems to be quite hard to get hold of.

I really like them. They look great and I think what they have achieved with accuracy is amazing. 5 sec/year.

    Blue or white?

The new watches are very much technically in the spirit of the original VHP timepieces. The biggest talking point of course, is accuracy: the new VHP models are guaranteed to within ± 5 seconds per year, which puts them in a very small group.

They do look nice, especially the white dial, but $1000 for a 43 mm quartz watch? Diver case with screw-down case back but only 50m water resistance? C'mon Swatch Group, try harder. @yako54 has had several beautiful vintage Longines for sale on the forum of late, admittedly not likely to be as accurate, for the same price as this watch. Guess it depends on what you want out of a watch, but I'll take the vintage any day.

This exactly. I used to have the automatic 39mm Conquest in the similar case, rated to 300m with screw down crown. It seems a missed opportunity that they rated this one only to 50m - such a high precision tool should have been exactly that - a tool watch... And then the size...

I have this earlier VHP that I bought in around 2002. Regulated to +-8 sec per year. Pretty impressive really! This one is rated to 200m.
