Would appreciate a view of the right price to pay for a late 50s Conquest in SS with date at 12.
Dial and case is 7/10, movement serviced (watch belongs to a watchmaker). Unfortunately no pics for now on the exsmple but a www pic on similar one atteched. 7F807B9D-6EF6-4FF3-9B09-1D9AD064EB93.jpg Offer is 800 Euro...seems fair but would love your expert views - I am not enough read up on Longines since I have focussed on Omega/JLC in the past
    Many thanks in advance

Depending on condition, seems like a pretty fair price. Love those railtrack dials.

800 euros is high but still a fair price to me if the condition is as good as the example in the pic. But then I'm a fan boy of these date@12 291s. ;) In fair condition, these typically go for between 400 to 500 euros.

Well, I would say prices vary a lot for these Conquests. As @khmt2 noted you can still find fair examples for 500 Euros, but excellent ones will easily call >1k€. If you rate your example somewhere in between I would consider the price as fair especially as it is serviced. The all-steel railtrack Conquest is quite rare IMHO, good examples do not pop up very often.

Bid and ask can vary so each price point will be sure to include the 'GUT check', all else being equal.

What's peeking out of the lugs looks good. My view is dial is good, not excellent. Need more pics to know if your paying decent price. Not enough in OP post

Thanks all...will try to get a pic on the actual watch (daily used by the watchmaker). My recall is it has a crisper dial with less patina - will be back!
