Hi everybody, I'm relatively new to the Longines scene and would like to ask/check a few points on a watch. Since I'm new, I figured the experts could inform me some stuff that I may be missing. The watch in question: Issues that I see: -Case appears to be over-polished / missing facet(s) on the lugs -Incorrect crown -Enamel paint removed Questions that I've got: -Is the bracelet original to the watch, and how rare is it? -is there anything I'm missing? Thanks!
I'm not an expert on that model, but I suspect that you have covered the major issues. I do think that those bracelets were used on the gold versions, and they are rare. Here's one being sold alone at a $3k asking price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Longines-18k-Yellow-Gold-Vintage-Mens-Watch-Bracelet-/281856578290Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Does that include the bracelet on your Deluxe? I'm a bit of a stickler for getting watches with bracelets, so I'd be keen to either source a bracelet or buy a watch with bracelet. I figured the asking price for the watch is a bit much on eBay.
My Deluxe came with only a croc strap. I meant to say that the 3000 for the bracelet Tony posted is more than I paid for my watch.
That's a beautiful example - I've been looking for an unpolished comparison piece, and yours looks pristine!
They're out there. I had been looking for one for a couple of months, placed a couple of WTB's when I ran into mine. It was incorrectly listed on chrono24 by an Italian as a NOS Conquest Heritage re-edition. Took the plunge based on the pics below (and wasn't let down):
