    Hello all, I stumbled across a constellation today. The dial is in very nice shape under that scratched crystal. The big splotches you see are on the crystal, not the dial. All text is present and accounted for (crystal scratches provide awful distortion.

    The text looks original to me, but I’m not sure about the crosshairs—-is it supposed to through numbers to outer edge of dial. Dial marked “Swiss” by the way.

    The case I’m guessing is gold cap (it has a stainless Caseback).

    I wasn’t able to remove Caseback to view movement. What do do you guys think about overall condition of dial, hands, and case judging from these professional style pics I snapped?

    Thanks in advance for your feedback.

    Oh yeah, I also picked this old Heuer up today ;)....

    Congrats on the pick up. Connie hands look to be replacements. If splotches are on glass then get it cleaned up and let’s see the reveal pics. Think it should clean up nice.

    Nice!

    What makes you say the hands are replacements?

    @southtexas it looks nice. How’s the medallion on the back?

    The dial looks 100% original to me. The crosshairs on pie pans usually extend only to the minute markers, but that isn't a pie pan so maybe the rules are different. Case a little worn but acceptable. Maybe I am missing something about the hands but I can't see why they would not be original to the watch.

    Dial looks original to me, case is a bit worn away. Can’t judge the hands.
    Nice Heuer Btw!

    I dunno, the hands look a bit out of place, could be the missing Lume?

    I would expect to see faceted dauphine hands, but that said there is always exceptions to that, a quick search shows plenty of lumed hands on similar constellations.

    Guys, I went back for a second look at the Connie. Here are a few more photos.

    CaseBack is fairly polished;
    movement needs a service, watch not running. Inside Caseback stamped 2852-3.
    Crown is not correct

    I haven’t gotten it because I’m not sure what to pay for it. I’m guessing a service should be approx $500 (assuming it needs a part or two)?
