Spotted this on a dealer site and looks ::love:: nice but wondering if it is worth 3k he is looking for it.

First generation Globemaster/Constellation Gold cap, est.1953 cal.354 13mil movement with box and papers.

Case is sharp and the dial condition is yummy.

Are there any more pics? Caseback and movement shots are helpful, as well as a straight-on dial shot. And an angled photo showing the lug edges a little better.

Attractive watch, nice condition, but I'm not ready to cough up that kind of money for a steel Constellation.

Fair enough but keep in mind this is a textured original dial early globemaster in nice condition (based at least on that one photo) with box and papers. As @Bill Sohne likes to say, when are you going to find another one again?

I may be wrong, and they may be different models, but I believe I see better quality and priced constellations in the for sale section

Nice watch. Have one with same dial and serial number range in gold capped.

$3K seems high to me, but like MSN and Bill say, go find another.

Tough proposition... I think it could be a decent buy if everything checks out. But it's not something to buy for a quick profit.

For 3 grand I think it’s one of those ‘I’ve got to have it’ calls.

Would definitely want much better pics of the dial as the two As in automatic look different from the OP shot

From another view, unfortunately and I never understand the seller has no face-on pictures.

Are these, rare/uncommon, valued or just an oddity.

Overall uncommon. In this condition and configuration (but need to see more photos to verify) and with box and papers (assuming they match the watch) then very uncommon.

Price isn't all that big a deal if you intend to keep it forever. The dial is stunning. Problem is the gold cap. It'll take a long time to get that price if you go to sell it.

Asked seller a raft of questions with request for more pics of watch and papers.

    Thanks for all the feedback.

Dial looks in good shape, the crystal looks scuffed a bit I think but overall very nice. Caseback and movement okay then could be a nice one. Price of course higher since a dealer....Good luck

Fully agree with MSNWatch, it is uncommon. Especially, the dial - broad arrow index for Globemaster. Usually, you will find dial like the one below. Good luck, Banner Roar!
