If the case style is the same i.e. 168.004 -is it just a matter of the thickness of the crown that makes it hidden or semi-hidden?

2 examples -same case back (as above)
    one semi-hidden one hidden

This might seem obvious -as one crown is clearly thicker than the other -but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something

    No such thing.

The "hidden" crown effect is visible only when the correct crown is used. Even the Omega recommended replacement will not fit flush with the case. It is too thick.

The "semi-hidden" crown version is ref. 168.010.

    Hope this helps,
