I'd need to check as it's late here but, I fitted a new Omega crown to mine last year and the notes I can see say 42057ST as the part number. Should be the same for yours but, like I say, I'd need to check. I know yours is an auto and mine is a manual wind but should make no difference in this case as the 552 (I suppose in yours) and 601 share much of their design. I can get them for about 拢25.

Looks great on the perlon馃憤

Cheers, Chris

Nice watch. It's something that's never really appeared on my radar but regarding the strap issue, get one made for it with curved ends. There are plenty of makers out there who will produce you something to order i you supply watch and wrist dimensions. (Not wanting to plug but I use steveostraps - just be aware that he makes "chunky" straps. Double check his site if you're interested but watch for the thickness. I think the thinnest is 3mm).
I have worked with SteveO in the past and he is great to work with, but yes, they are on the thick side. And I recall that the 18mm strap I ordered was a bit wide and ended up on a 19mm-lugged watch.

YES! Raider44 confirmed for me that 42057 was the correct part number for the correct crown and he and I have the same case reference number 135.015. Thanks for your help, ChrisN.
I do like Perlon straps, but would prefer a 2 piece strap. The question is do I go with a 16mm or 18mm? In my experience, my 18mm Perlon strap fit the 19mm lugs of my Railmaster LE perfectly. I guess I'd rather see a bit of bunching up, instead of exposed spring bars.

You definitely want the 18mm. I tried a 16 and it looked awful.

The diver versions are also cool, but have a very different look, also they are exclusively short-lug cases.
They are usually equipped with proper oyster-like bracelets. They're also available in date, no date, auto, manual versions.

I've never seen one of those for sale!

I wonder what it looks like with the bezel removed. I wonder how much it looks like a 165. 038.

man, 17mm straps are like IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere! It's gotta be a very unusual size. Darn. I was hoping to find a nice 2 piece Nato.
Does anyone have suggested retailers?

do a search for 17mm straps on the bay, plenty there...

Here are some on Chrono24:
https://www.chrono24.com/search/index.htm?watchTypes=&query=Omega admiralty&dosearch=true&searchexplain=1&accessoryTypes=

And Yes, it would be interested to see it's the same case without the rotating bezel...
I found one here (out of stock) but it shows the lugs from the back. Also the description mentions the bracelet and end pieces reference: https://tambowatches.com/products/v...y-divers-watch-sunburst-silvered-dial-565-mvt

But you are right, the lugs are way shorter and I know the bracelet end pieces won't work. That reference is Omega 1168/638 stainless bracelet

Crown listed for case 165038 is 069ST42057. Same for case 135015.

Omega lists this crown as no longer available, and the replacement crown as 069ST42242.

Cheers, Al

Ok, update...I cut through through the spring bars to get them off.... I was able to get the 18mm Bulang strap on there...I like it much better....
Looks good next to a friend, also on a Caramel B&S strap:

Oh, I forgot the corresponding Omega fixo-flex bracelet. It's ref. ST1122/608
