Well it looks to be sold now. Wonder if it will turn up on an OF member's wrist?

I ended the listing and decided to keep so still on a OF members wrist
You should hunt out a correct crown. I found mine a couple of years ago and has several options to choose from.

AUD$2400.00?
Have I lost touch with watch values?

I've witnessed multiple of the military dial admiralties sell for $2000+ in the past 2-3 years.

If anyone can help with a part number or reference for a correct crown it would be appreciated. As I mentioned in my listing I have seen the same unmarked crown on number 345 issued to QR which I believe there are photos of in this thread. Maybe both replaced during time with QR

I was going to track one down a while ago but I've lost my notes. I think @ChrisN may have the part number.

PS: Boley list it as ST42028, Cousins list it as ST42057.

I believe the part you're looking for is 42057. The was a member here who had a couple for sale a while ago. I'll have to see if I can find this name.

Did anyone here win this one? I put in a bid during the last 6 seconds of the auction and was promptly outbid by $700.

The elusive black-dial, longhorn, 565 cal. w/applied furniture (and original crown). A rare bird indeed.

I thought I was about to score a good deal when it was at $950 with 10 seconds remaining. I bid $1080 and it wound up going for $1784, which I still thing is a reasonable price.

Seller's Photos, an all original 135.015 with all correct parts, unpolished. 😀

This one demonstrates an interesting feature characteristic of admiralties, which is the variation in length of the sweep second hand. Sometimes, these reach to the middle of the seconds track, sometimes to its edge, and sometimes (as in this and other examples, beyond).
