What do you make of this one? It looks beautiful, but I think it might be too good to be true...
Its advertised as a Universal Geneve Compax 31.7mm Vintage 1946-1949, handwinding calibre 285.

 

Chromium case in bad shape, worn out pushers and redial, not good !

 

If you are really serious about owning a UG please spend some time in the sub forum and learn to spot issues with these watches. Otherwise you will make an expensive mistake. Good move asking about this one though. Sala Book is a good investment.

 

Apart from all of the other stuff, a 285 in a 31.7mm case doesn't sit well.

 

how about a gold plated reference caseback sitting on a chrome case..............someone worked hard to make this one wrong in every way

 

badly redial, small chrome case, avoid.

 

i thought the picture was blurry, but it is the dial....
