    I have two vintage Seamaster chronographs, both blue, both cushion-cased, both cal. 1040. But they're actually quite different upon closer inspection. Thought I'd share some specs and photos for those interested..

    When you see them next to each other like that the case of the Yachting is absolutely in another league, I wonder what the price difference was back in the day?

    I would have assumed that the Yachting was priced higher too. But... The only catalogue with pricing that has both that I found is this 1975 German one on Steve Waddington's site:

    The surprising thing is that the 007 is priced at 795DM and the Yachting is 750DM! I can't explain that one.
