    Sharper dial photo here:

I dunno. Looks good to me, but the price seems high. I'd let dsio and those who know these gold pie-pans better than I comment on that.

Mainly interested in Calendar variety rarity, authenticity, and value.
    And PG or YG guesses

A nice one of these Connie Calendars just sold for £1800 yesterday. Thought that was pretty fair? I guess PG from the last photo.

It's probably a gold dial but the case looks pink to me!

It might be tarnish. That has a reddish pink hue to it.

Lots of restrictions on that watch though. Pretty much a Europe only sale which served to limit the price the watch achieved.

I just followed it, expected it to go for more! Was it not available to the US then??

Not available to buyers outside of Europe pretty much. If you were in North or South America or Asia or Australia you couldn't even enter your bid.

Is the dial itself 18k gold on this one?

I believe it is - it is the deluxe version of the cal. 504 (calendar).

The center section of the dial looks matte.
Is that unusual on a gold dial?
Is the Calendar version as rare as the seller says?(or desirable)

This one looks like a nice unmolested example.

    Very desirable model too.

Not sure I'd pay so this much for it (if I even had this much to spend).

Times like this I often wonder if I shouldn't have saved up the money I spent on 10 old stainless Omegas and bought just one of these.

More uncommon than the non-date connie deluxe which in this kind of condition is a $3500 plus watch. I would say for every 3-4 nice non-date deluxe watches I see 1 of these ones.

Probably the seller is hoping for an Italian collector to buy it. Generally, the Italians prefer Rolex to Omega, for some strange reason.

    Thank-you.

They go for about the same as the non-date though IMO they are worth more.
