Just got this - I'd like to know your opinions - The dial has obviously lost a lot of its color, but at certain angles looks really nice to me. I think the pictures also show how different photos can show different looks.

 

Very white.

 

Too far gone for my taste. Especially the scratch.

Scratch might be on the crystal. This could clean up nicely.

 

try taking a photo without a flash but with some diffused natural light. The flash really highlights the dial deterioration in a way that may not fully reflect the actual appearance.

 

Looks dead, but the flash doesn't help.

 

Just scratches and spots all over, which scratch is it you're concerned with?

 

Ok, trying again! It looks kinda nice when i get the brass shines through.

 

This line (red arrows) seen in a few of the photos looked like maybe a scratch on the dial:


But your last photo looks OK.

Ok I see. This is only a light flare from light coming through the crystal from the side. Thanks for taking time to explain.

 

For me, it is gone. But then again I see all so called tropicals / chocolate dials as defects, so I am not the right guy here to give guidance...

 

I think it could look great in natural daylight, what matters is that you like the watch!
