And well you should be in my opinion. A bog stock movement that is quite scratched and has been messed with. Very poorly done dial. I don't know Breguet watches, but this certainly doesn't appear to be one IMO.
Saw this and laughed audibly. Nothing about this watch says $3700, much less Breguet. Same seller has this up. He stresses that the dial is ORIGINAL. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Bre...839247?hash=item28178d788f:g:anYAAOSw9ZdXKjubPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Speaking of vintage Breguet wristwatches, I was quite disappointed to find such a pedestrian movement in this one. The dial is not of a particularly high quality either. Reassuringly, none of this affected bidding. http://www.fratellowatches.com/auction-preview-christies-geneva/ http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/...fine-rare-and-attractive-5992922-details.aspx
That Breguet has a bog standard ETA 1100 or 1150 with some custom cotes de geneve and perlage which looks odd on such a simple movement. I've 3 or 4 much nicer triple date moons in steel and none of them cost more than 650 bucks. 25 grand? Total shitlords!
According to that screenshot above, the high end of the estimate was $25k, the hammer price was $140k. Lot notes says it comes from a series of only 5 or so pieces, special I guess.
Can you re-type this... something better resembling English? I also read French and Spanish if that helps...
IT looks like none of those ETAs and IT'S not 25 grand. PLEASE Look at the price realized again. Hope it helps.
