As you might have noticed I am more of a food/alcohol/cigar-guy. But from time to time I have been induging in coffee also.


But never without a Cognac... That would be really strange.

 

There's a certain "yin yang" relationship there. Coffee brings the edge, cognac smooths it out.
But for the record, cognac without coffee is perfectly acceptable

Your coffee pictures are my favourite pictures here on OF. I do not know where they are taken but I can feel the atmosphere, hear the traffic and other sounds - smell and taste the coffee. It feels like I know these places and your pictures bring them back to me. By the papers it looks - and has to be France but for me the whole thing and the pictures is Italy. I have spent a lot of time in the northern part of Italy and your pictures take me there every time. Wheather it be a small local coffee shop in Verona, a rural home in Cassano (In the middle of nowhere between Piacenza and Genova), by the sea promenade in a small costal town in Liguria, or in the Galleria in Milano - I am really longing to be there. I can sit for hours and study people passing by, reading a book, sipping coffee and maybe something stronger to go with it.

I love coffee too.

On Sundays I go to the local farmers market and grab a cup.

I also roast, when I get really motivated. I use an old hot air popcorn maker.

Mad Dog aside: You gota' try Dunkin' French Roast.
I usually grind my own dark French Roast beans and french-press my morning 3 cups.
I was on the road and had to have a cup and pulled in to a Dunkin' drive-thru.
All I can say is give it a try and you won't be disappointed

 

It doesn't taste like allspice?
I'm a fresh ground Starbucks French Roast guy too.

Just came back from a coffee at a local Bosnian coffee shop. The coffee came with a cigarette!

 

You can't beat made to order coffee at home, with freshly ground beans (and a Speedy to time the extraction )
