the new Daytona, Tudor, Bulgars, Patek and the limited edition speedy blue stood out. I agree on the Tudor, the speedy and the Daytona although the explorer takes lead for me. I don't really love the Patek which looks like a Brietling to me and the Bulgary is ok.... If you don't mind going back to 1982 aesthetics. But it does take the "thinnest minute repeater" tag. http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/17/luxury/best-of-baselworld-2016/index.html#|gigyaMobileDialog
No surprise, as it's Jack Forster of Hodinkee writing the item. It's pretty much in line with their own coverage. ...I can't stand that crown tube on the Tudor. It makes the Seamaster's helium valve look good.
Beat me to it, this is Hodinkee's top five.....and of course Tudor get a mention. Tudor could produce a dial made of solidified horsesh!t and Hodinkee would give it glowing reviews.
I like the Tudor but at least on pics the bezel looks a little too much like a tire. But it may be the pics. The dial is good enough in its simplicity
The more I look into it the more I get its aesthetic. But I do t think i would enjoy it on the wrist.
I'll give Jack credit for hyping the 36mm Tudor. Wait, what am I saying, if watch sizes come down we'll have an even harder time finding our 34-38mm pieces! Down with the 'Dinksters!
