    There was a Rolex Submariner owner on another forum that said to me, with respect to his intelligence in buying a Rolex over a Cal 8500 Planet Ocean, that he'll leave the servicing to his great-grand children to worry about... I said the same thing to him:

    I've heard of people who take their genuine vintage heirloom into a jewelers for repair/refurbishment and get talked into having the movement "updated" with a new modern "electronic" movement so the watch will be not just good as new, but much better :eek:
